Registration
Successfully registered for Larian Bomba on 9th May 2008 at 9.45 pm at Dataran Merdeka. Before that I went to Wisma OCM to register for this run. Arriveed around 6.05pm. I was told that the registration counter is at Balai Bomba Maharajalela. So I ride my motocycle to Maharajalela. The registration counter should be on 1st floor. As I reach the registration counter, the Fireman told me that they have all the things (Tshirt/receipt/Bib No) packed as they are moving the counter to Dataran Merdeka. So I had to postpone again the registration (so tired).
8.30 pm went out for dinner, after that directly drove to Dataran to register. Arrived around 9.30 pm and registered. Got Tshirt and then watch mini concert. The MC for d concert that nite was Mek Pata Timor. After that Chow go home and sleep.
Run Day...
Woke up early but feel very lazy... I took more than 40 min before I got out of my house. Still forgot to drink..... Already 7.00 am, soooo thirsty, my motorbike almost out of petrol due to last night randzevous. No time to drink, no time to refuel the tank..... just speed my way to dataran.... Amazingly I reached Dataran around 7.20 am... I directly register and masuk kandang. Cannot squeeze to front line... already packed with runners....
7.29 am, YB Ong Ka Chuan fire the starting signals, and....... This time I started with a moderate speed (My moderate speed). No more 100m sprint, I can sustain my energy quite some time. I am also very thirsty, so cannot speed... I could feel like my legs getting numb, I thought if I speed more, my leg will cramp.
after 40min I reach the water station at jalan duta, so I grab 2 cups of water (I want to take more but got only two hands), This is another challenge conquer the hills at jalan duta. So tired , I have to walk...
Reached at jalan Parliment, already 8.40 pm(70 mins). This is where 10k runner meet up wth 7k runner. Can I get to the finishing line before 9.00 am????? 20 mins to go. Along the way Bomba MPV pass by and offer me a bottle of mineral water.... ha ha ha ha..... From Tugu negara I can speed up a bit... I managed to fininsh around 8.54am. I got the cert, he he he he, jangan mara haaaaa
Directly go to Milo station, and drank up 6 cups(2 cups x 3 time queuing). Today Anne and Fauziah cant join me due to working and family business, so no breakfast at Bukhara. No picture today because Muni ada Hari Sukan SKPTD. I dont wait for the lucky draw, malas lah..
Before go back, I checked the tank, good luck, still got some fuel I can ride to BHP station(Fill petrol RM 6). Along the way I can see a few riders wearing Bomba Run with Bib No still attached like me(no time and energy to take it off).
Need to go to work this morning actually, got Rentas testing at AFB DR site at Kompakar PJ. I had light breakfast (tak lalu makan la .. penat giler), balik rumah, change my attire(tak mandi) and off I go to work(very tired).
